Dining Playbook's Jenny Johnson Weds Nantucket Magazine Editor Robert Cocuzzo in BPL Courtyard

Jenny Johnson, producer and co-host of NESN's Dining Playbook, married Arlington native Robert Cocuzzo, the editor of Nantucket Magazine, Friday night in the courtyard of the Boston Public Library. The wedding was officiated by Charlie Kravetz, general manager of WBUR, who happens to be Johnson's first boss and longtime mentor. Kravetz has also known Cocuzzo and his family for years — Cocuzzo's father is a barber who has cut Kravetz's hair for decades — and the couple said the shared connection made him the perfect candidate. It's amazing that we found someone who knows us so deeply, Cocuzzo said. He's been a tremendous source of support and guidance, and he's really taking this ceremony to a personal level. Billy Costa, Johnson's cohost on Dining Playbook and her longtime business partner, was her man of honor for the ceremony — alongside her sister, who was the maid of honor.

A bit untraditional, but there wasn't a question in my mind that Billy was going to be a part of this day for me, as he's been a part of the highs and the lows and all the in-betweens for the past 13 years, Johnson said. He's my best friend and knows my family very well. The BPL itself was also a guest of honor in the ceremony; it's where Cocuzzo wrote his first book, and it signifies Boston for both of us, Johnson said. Table & Tulip handled flowers, DesignLight did lighting, the wedding band was Flipside from Murray Hill Talent, and Costa's nephew Buddy Costa was the DJ. Johnson's gown was custom designed by Braintree native Michael De Paulo. The guest list included Linda Holliday and Patriots coach Bill Belichick, Tom Werner, Kiss 108's Lisa Donovan, restaurateur Ed Kane, designer Tonya and author Ben Mezrich, Davio's boss Steve DiFillippo, and the other person who considers Costa a best man, Matty in the Mornings Matt Siegel.
